The Mountain And The Keening Hound

from Carnelian Moon by Archaic Earth

/

lyrics

The peaks above are wreathed in blue
The trees below burn black
The grass between me and the road
Is screaming with terror and lack
For the well we ran to was empty
It has been for 40 nights.

I mourn for what's been lost
I cry out for reticence
Let pity stay thy hand
These burning cedars cleanse this land.

I cry with the failing tides
I fall into the sky
The myth will kill us all;
I find solace in her lies
She sings unendingly
"All is nothing!"

about

Archaic Earth Mount Forest, Ontario

Born of dripping moss and delving roots, formed in the dark places beyond the veil and sung by the fire and fury of creation itself.
